For release King’s professor Dr. Bernard Healey health care book selected for exclusive listing June 23, 2010 – “Introduction to Occupational Health in Public Health Practice,” a recently published book authored by Dr. Bernard Healey, director of the graduate program in health care administration at King’s College, was selected for the May 2010 edition of Doody’s Core Titles. Doody’s Core Titles is a collection development resource for health science libraries. Titles are selected by a panel of more than 200 content specialists and librarians from more than 2,200 titles published by more than 120 publishers covering 121 specialties. Less than 2 percent of professional-level health science titles in print to appear in the listing. After working for more than 20 years as an epidemiology manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Health in Kingston, Healey became a full-time professor at King’s in 1995. He was an adjunct faculty member at King’s since 1980. Healey earned a bachelor’s degree from King’s, master’s degrees from the Marywood College and Wilkes University, and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently teaches courses on leadership and quality management in health care, health care economics, epidemiology, health promotion, and marketing.
