For Immediate Release King's College Board of Directors awards tenure and promotions to faculty members April 19, 2010 –The King's College Board of Directors have granted tenure and promotions to the following faculty members: Promoted to full professor were Dr. Marian Boscia, accounting; and Dr. Denise Reboli, education. Tenured and promoted to associate professor were Dr. Beth Admiraal, political science; and Dr. Ronald Supkowski, chemistry. Promoted to associate laboratory professor was Mary Sanders, biology.
A resident of Kingston, Dr. Boscia recently received the Max and Tillie Rosenn Award for Faculty Excellence. A professor at King’s since 1998, she teaches intermediate and advanced financial accounting courses. She earned her doctorate in accounting from University of Colorado at Boulder.
Dr. Reboli of Kingston earned her doctorate in mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She has taught at King’s since 1998, first in mathematics before joining the education department, where she serves as department chair.
After earning a doctorate in political science from the University of Illinois, Dr. Admiraal was an instructor at the University of Illinois and a visiting professor at Lynchburg College. A resident of Forty Fort, she has been teaching political science courses at King’s since 2004.
The recipient of a full Presidential Scholarship, Dr. Supkowski graduated magna cum laude from King’s with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He earned a doctorate in chemistry from Penn State University and worked as a senior R&D analytical chemist with W.R. GRACE in Columbia, Md. He returned to his alma mater in 2004, where he currently teaches senior level chemistry courses and labs.
Sanders earned a master’s degree in molecular biology at San Diego State University. She has taught introductory biology courses and genetics, cell biology and biochemistry laboratory courses at King’s since 1993. She previously lectured at Southwestern College in California. She resides in Hawley. King's College is a Catholic College sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross. |
