For Immediate Release James Anderson of Mountain Top named Director of Admissions at King’s College April 1, 2010 –James Anderson of Mountain Top was recently named Director of Admissions at King’s College. He succeeds Michelle Schmude, also of Mountain Top, who will become Director of Marketing and Advertising and a full-time professor in the College’s Mass Communications department. Anderson will responsible for the daily operations of the undergraduate admissions office and supervision and management of admissions staff. He will coordinate student recruitment and the selection process. During his 20 years of coaching in nearly every capacity for King’s football team, Anderson worked extensively with the admissions office to recruit student-athletes as Recruiting Coordinator. He also served as Assistant Head Coach and Director of Football Operations. He volunteered during special events, such as the College’s Open Houses and Accepted Student Days. Anderson earned a master’s degree in athletic administration and bachelor’s degree in physical education from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Prior to coming to King’s, Anderson was an assistant football coach at Division I Lehigh University and taught physical education at Springfield University, where he also managed a dormitory of 300 men.
