For Immediate Release Brian Vinsko Chairs Community Phase of King's Annual Fund Effort March 26, 2010 - Brian Vinsko, an attorney with the Wilkes-Barre firm of Vinsko and Associates, P.C., has been named chair of the King's College Community Campaign. Contributions to the six-week Community Phase, which began in mid-March, help King’s to build scholarship and faculty development funds, construct new facilities and renovate existing buildings, purchase equipment for classroom support, and provide for campus expansion and beautification. “King’s has made a significant difference in the lives of its students, alumni, and the community at large. This campaign allows us to give back to the college and help Kings continue on its mission,” said Vinsko. The recipient of a bachelor’s degree in history and secondary education from King’s in 1999, Vinsko received his law degree from South Texas College of Law. He worked for the Houston firm of Gallagher, Lewis, Downey & Kim before returning to the Wyoming Valley in 2004 to form Vinsko and Associates with his brother, William, a 1997 King’s graduate. Vinsko is a member of the Farber Golf Tournament Committee and is on the Executive Committee of the King’s Century Club. He has served in leadership positions for the King’s College Alumni Phonathon for four years. In recognition of his dedicated service to the College, Vinsko was the recipient of the College’s Leo Award in 2008. The award is presented to a graduate from the past 15 years who demonstrates outstanding achievement in his profession and the community.
