St. Edward’s University Ballet Folklorico to perform traditional Mexican dances at King’s

March 17, 2010- Five King’s College students recently won awards in the Student ADDY Awards, Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter Student ADDY Awards, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation.

The five students are: Kaitlin Falatovich of Hazelton; Chad Hoffman of Lehighton; Jared Holodick of Wilkes-Barre; Adriane Kinner of Elmira, N.Y.; and Maggie Nealer of Syracuse, N.Y.

Holodick, a junior, won a silver Student ADDY Award for his Verizon Blackberry magazine advertisement in the Consumer or trade Publication category. He is a mass communications and graphics major.

Nealer, a junior, won a silver Student ADDY Award for her book cover spread in the Editorial Design category. She is a mass communications major and is captain of the King’s swim team. She is also a member of the Dean’s list and the MAC All-Academic Team.

Falatovich, Hoffman, and Kinner won a bronze Student ADDY Award for their Apple iPod billboard, print advertisement, and brochure in the Consumer or Trade Publication category.

Falavtovich is a freshman mass communications major with a minor in professional writing. She is a member of “The Crown,” King’s College’s student newspaper, Sigma Kappa Tau, Cantores Christi Regis, and is president of the Residence Hall Council. She also is a graduate of the King’s College Emerging Leaders program.

Hoffman is a recent graduate with a major in theatre and English literature. He was a member of the King’s Players Theatre group and editorial board of “The SCOP,” King’s College’s arts and literary magazine.

Kinner is a sophomore mass communications major with a minor in theatre. She is a member of the King’s Players theatre group, King’s College Ultimate Frisbee Club, and is the secretary for the Media Club.
