The King’s Players will perform ‘Wonder of the World’ Feb. 17-20

February 5, 2010 – The King’s College Players will continue the theatre season with a production of David Lindsay-Abaire’s comedy of marital discord, “Wonder of the World,” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17-20 in the King’s Theatre, located in the Administration Building on North River Street.

Cass, the play’s heroine, finds a dirty little secret in her husband's sweater drawer. The discovery forces Cass to leave her husband and flee to the honeymoon capital of the world, Niagara Falls, in search of freedom, enlightenment and the meaning of life.

Cass embarks on a journey of self-discovery that has her crossing paths with a blithely suicidal alcoholic, a lonely tour-boat captain, a pair of bickering private detectives and a strange caper involving a gargantuan jar of peanut butter, all of which pushes her perilously close to the water's edge.

King’s Theatre Department cast members include Therese Conrad, Long Beach, N.Y. (Karla); Stephanie Gawlas, Hanover Twp. (Barbara); Felicia Kaufmann, Red Hill (Cass); Tyler LaFrentz, Carlisle (Glen); Drake Nester, Emmaus (Kip); Ali McCall Young, Mt. Top (Lois); and, Mark Zurek, Mt. Top (Captain Mike).
