King’s students to study abroad during the spring semester

January 21, 2010 – Six King's College students will study for academic credit abroad during the upcoming spring semester.
 
Daniel Carle of Halifax is studying in Lancaster, England, through the King's College - Lancaster University Partnership Program. He is a junior majoring in business administration.
 
Carle is a member of the College’s Dean’s List. As a member of the men’s soccer team, he received the MAC Sportsmanship Award and he was named to the MAC All-Academic team the past two years.
 
Lianne Cuscani of Pocono Lake is studying in Rome, Italy, through the King's College - John Cabot University Partnership Program. She is a junior majoring in marketing with a minor in business administration. Cuscani will be inducted this spring into Mu Kappa Tau, an international marketing honor society.
 
Nicholas Etzold of Edison, N.J., is studying at Webster University in Vienna, Austria, through the King’s College-Webster University Partnership Program.
The recipient of the Webster University Travel Award, Etzold is a junior majoring in accounting and international business. He is a member of the College’s honors program and secretary of the International Business Club.
 
Suzan Sari of Sugarloaf is studying at the Universidad Catolica Argentina’s Latin American Studies Program in Buenos Aires, Argentina, through Butler University’s Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA).
 
The recipient of the IFSA Study Abroad Scholarship, Sari is a junior majoring in political science and international business with a minor in Spanish. She volunteers locally at Helping Hands, a global humanitarian relief and development organization responding to human sufferings in emergency and disastrous situations.
 
Cassandra Stento of Binghamton, N.Y., is studying at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in Lima, Peru, through Butler University’s Institute for Study Abroad. She is a junior majoring in Spanish and sociology. She is president of the College’s Foreign Language Honor Society, a peer tutor and member of the cheerleading squad. She volunteers at Wyoming Valley Children’s Association and also tutors Hispanic students at Daniel J. Flood Elementary School in Wilkes-Barre.
 
Kristina Tarnef of Medford, N.J., has been awarded a full-tuition scholarship to study at the University of Ulster in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, through the Irish-American Scholars Program. She is a junior majoring in business administration.
