For Immediate Release
January 27, 2010, King’s College recently dedicated a multipurpose conference room in the new Gateway Corners building to David Selingo, a 1989 graduate of King’s and a local attorney. Selingo chairs Kinship Square, a nonprofit community development corporation that attempts to aid development in the neighborhood adjacent to the King’s College campus. Kinship Square acquired the vacant Corcoran Printing and MacIntosh Laundry buildings from City Vest and found a developer partner to raze the old buildings and complete the Gateway Corners building. The building, which King’s leases, contains three floors of residential living space for King’s students, a public eatery, a community child-care center and office space and classrooms for the King’s education department.
Pictured at the dedication ceremony is, from left, Eberhard Faber, chair of the King’s College Board of Directors; Tracey, Henry, Jake and David Selingo; and Father Thomas O’Hara, C.S.C., president of King’s. King's College is a Catholic College sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross. |
